The Testing Center requires currently enrolled students to seek interpretive services for the Strong and Myers-Briggs. Interpretive services are free to currently enrolled NAU students through Career Counseling and Employment Services. The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) assessment is the most widely used personality assessment in the world. With a proven record of reliability spanning more than 50 years, it offers a foundation for understanding individual differences and applying that understanding to the ways people think, communicate, and interact. Form M of the instrument has 93 items and provides the basic MBTI four-letter type that will supply you with a personalized description of your personality preferences designed to explore and identify your unique individuality.
The Newly Revised Strong Interest Inventory is the most respected and widely used career planning instrument in the world, with major updates and new content that reflect the way we work today including 30 Basic Interest Scales with a new focus on technology, finance and investing, marketing, and entrepreneurship, 6 updated General Occupational Themes, identifying Investigative thinkers to Enterprising persuaders, revised 244 Occupational Scales (over 120 jobs) from Network Administrator to Financial Manager to ESL Instructor, and a new 5-point answer format to more accurately measure individual style preferences in learning, leadership, risk taking, work style, and team orientation.
